Bapenda Kaltim Partners with Payment Gateway Paylabs for Digital Vehicle Tax Payment Innovation
PT Wahana Pembayaran Digital, commonly known as Paylabs, a licensed Payment Gateway company in Indonesia, has collaborated with the Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda) of East Kalimantan Province to support the online and real-time payment system for Vehicle Tax (PKB).
This collaboration aims to enhance ease, convenience, and transparency for the public, providing a partnership that allows citizens to pay their vehicle taxes specifically motor vehicle taxes, directly from the SIMPATOR website using digital payment methods such as QRIS (Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard), e-wallets (OVO, DANA, ShopeePay, and others), as well as Virtual Bank Accounts. The public can easily access the official website of the Motor Vehicle Tax Monitoring Information System, SIMPATOR.
“The presence of Paylabs as a Payment Gateway within the SIMPATOR ecosystem is a tangible form of support for the government’s vision to expand public services based on digital platforms,” said Dra. Hj. Ismiati, M.Si, Head of the Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda) of East Kalimantan Province.
The innovation of paying vehicle taxes (both car and motorcycle taxes) through QRIS, e-wallets, or Virtual Bank Accounts is part of the digitalization of public services and the improvement of Local Government Transaction Electrification (ETPD). This aims to accelerate digital transformation and provide convenience for the public in fulfilling their tax obligations.
“We aim to encourage the public to be more compliant and timely in paying their vehicle taxes (car and motorcycle taxes). The introduction of vehicle tax payment innovation via SIMPATOR makes the process faster, safer, and more transparent. This aligns with East Kalimantan’s spirit of continuous innovation in providing the best services to the community,” said Dra. Hj. Ismiati, M.Si, Head of Bapenda, East Kalimantan Province.
The process of paying car or motorcycle taxes via the SIMPATOR website is simple:
- Open the SIMPATOR website (http://simpator.kaltimprov.go.id/)
- Enter your vehicle data
- Choose the available payment method (QRIS, e-wallet, or Virtual Account)
- Confirm and make the payment
- A payment receipt and e-TBPKP (Electronic Proof of Tax Payment) will be immediately issued.
The collaboration between Paylabs and Bapenda East Kalimantan is not only about regularly checking vehicle taxes and making tax payments easier, but also about improving tax compliance and reducing motor vehicle tax arrears in East Kalimantan. Moreover, the public can experience a new, more practical way of paying taxes, which can be done anytime and anywhere, with the integration of the national digital payment system endorsed by Bank Indonesia and the Ministry of Home Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia.
